Below you will find a sample schedule for the Athena Festival, taking place October 4-8, 2024 and February 27-March 3, 2025 .

Day 1– Nashville Arrival, hotel check-in

  • Couriers meet busses at hotel and accompany directors to orientation meeting 

  • Directors’ Orientation and Reception

Day 2– Spiritual Performances and Songwriter Round

  • Performance at the National Museum of African American Music

  • Songwriter Round

  • Opening Night Dinner and Party

Day 3– Recording at Ocean Way

  • Record in Nashville’s Historic Ocean Way Studios

  • Optional sight-seeing in Nashville

Day 5– Closing Ceremonies

  • The Athena Prize Awards Ceremony

Day 4– The Athena Festival Concert

  • Choral Clinics

  • The Athena Festival Performance in Nashville’s Parthenon

  • Masquerade Ball with DJ at the conclusion of the concert
